Experience the Magic of a Destination Wedding in Scotland with an authentic Scottish Celebrant!
Embrace the Magic: Let’s Create Your Authentic Scottish Wedding Ceremony!
Looking for a Scottish wedding celebrant who can officiate your Destination Wedding in Scotland? As a true Scot living in the beauty of Royal Deeside in Aberdeenshire, I love all things Scottish, especially the ancient traditions. The rich tapestry of Scottish and Celtic rituals, from quaichs to handfasting, pinning the tartan to oathing stones, holds a special place in my heart. I love infusing these customs into your ceremony, adding a touch of Scottish magic to your special day. You may want to include some Doric in your ceremony. The Doric language, spoken in northeastern Scotland, is a variant of the Scots dialect.
Recently I acquired the title of Lady Isabel Lockhart of Castle Roy, a castle ruin in the Cairngorms. To support the Castle Roy Trust, I purchased a square yard of the castle. There’s something magical about Castle Roy! It’s like stepping back in history as you stand on the glacial mound, looking out over Strathspey.
Castle Roy is the perfect fairytale setting for your elopement or destination wedding. Imagine exchanging vows amidst the captivating beauty of this castle, and to make it even more special; you’ll have the resident “Heilan Coo,” Murdo, as your hairy witness!
More Castles per acre
With more castles per acre than anywhere else in the UK, Aberdeenshire is heaven for castle enthusiasts like me! I’m a paid-up member of the National Trust for Scotland and enjoy learning about the history of the land and its ancestors. There are a staggering 260 castles, stately homes, and ruins throughout the Shire. No wonder it is known as Scotland’s Castle Country!
Or picture this. You and your beloved, ready to say “I do” by the side of a Scottish loch. The hills and mountains reflect off of the tranquil waters, creating a mind-blowingly backdrop for your wedding. As you make your declarations of love and exchange vows, promises and oaths, the loch bears witness to your wedding and becomes part of your love story. There are over 30,000 lochs and lochans all over Scotland, so you have a plethora to choose from.
Getting wed at a stone circle can be a unique experience. Surrounded by the energy of the ancestors and in nature, you can exchange vows in a setting steeped in history and mystery. The stone circle’s powerful symbolism will infuse your wedding ceremony with a deep sense of connection to the past with a profound spiritual atmosphere, creating a story and a memory that will last a lifetime.

A special testimonial from my clients
“Words couldn’t ever describe the experience that Isabel and Legacy Celebrant provided for Jennifer Seaton Marquis & my fairytale wedding at Fyvie Castle last May. Isabel Lockhart exceeded expectations in so many layers through her process, and she and her hubby Denis Lockhart became much more than our Celebrants.
“They are now considered our chosen family! Sure, it becomes seamless when a Celebrant team catapults themselves into the microscopically small group of humans on Mother Earth that we would consider our inner-circle, but they just exuded positivity and implored us to open up and get to know each other in a way that I would have never dreamed of.
“It’s hard to describe how pinnacle Isabel Lockhart was in our wedding, but I can say with absolute certainty, that there’s 0% chance that anybody else in The UK could have made it this special. I highly recommend her and “The Hairy Fairy” for any life ceremony and am confident knowing that their services are unparalleled in Great Britain Feel free to pm Jennifer Seaton Marquis or I if you want a more detailed reference.
“We love you two SO SO much, and we can’t wait for our paths to cross again in our beloved Scotland.”
