Miscarried babies and early pregnancy loss babies are born without recognition. They are not given a birth or death certificate. I will work with the bereaved parents to create a beautiful Baby Naming and Funeral Service. It is so important that these babies are given an identity and that their names are spoken. These babies did exist and it is important that this is acknowledged and celebrated.
When my Granda died and I went to visit his grave with my mum, I noticed that on the grave it said and Infant Daughter. This was the first time I knew that my Grandparents had a stillbirth and it broke my heart that she did not have a name.
I then learned that my Grannie had suffered several miscarriages before and after my mum was born. This was never discussed and it always bothered me.
Babies are loved from the second they are conceived, baby names are discussed and even if you do not know the sex of your baby, it can still be named. One baby was named Sweetpea because that is what it was called in the womb.
As part of this service, I will issue a certificate that acknowledges the birth and death of the baby. This service also applies to still born babies who have had their births and/or deaths registered.
I work with bereaved parents to create a beautiful Baby Naming and Funeral Service. There is no charge for this service.
